January Club Cruceros Update

Hello Club Members,

Life is finally returning to normal (whatever that is!) here in La Paz. We had a fabulous pot luck dinner at the club house to celebrate Christmas Eve. All the tables were covered with table cloths, shiny Christmas decorations hung from the trees, and almost everyone got a candy cane (all kids did for sure.) The meal was delicious and a good turn out of approximately 120 people. Afterwards many folks went over to listen to the singing of Christmas Carols near the Marina launch ramp, put on by Casa Buena.

We celebrated New Year's Eve with an appetizer pot luck, celebrating at midnight, GMT, which is 5pm local time. Everyone was able to stay awake for it! Afterwards there were several restaurants that provided live music and dinners around town. We danced the night away, but still home before the local midnight hour!

January 17th we will be having a fund raiser beach party to keep our emergency fund re-supplied in case of any future disasters. We hope you will join us for the fun and games. There will be Bocce Ball, Horseshoes, Mexican Lotteria (like bingo), card games, dominoes, and a bake sale auction.

The newly revised proposed bylaws changes will be presented again with the input of the membership at the January 20th General Membership meeting. This meeting will be held in the Vista room at 4pm. As soon as the Board members approve the newly revised edition of the bylaws, they will be posted both at the club house and on this web site. Please be sure to come back and read them after January 14th. The membership will vote on the proposed changes to the bylaws at the February 17th General meeting. Hope you can be there to cast your vote!!

Your Commodore,
